Our proposal seeks to reinterpret the crossing of boundary between Shenzhen and Hong Kong AS A SHARED EXPERIENCE by introducing a multiple-storey-high common atrium in between the inbound and outbound passenger bridges at the centre of the Passenger Terminal Building (PTB), with a SHARED SUNKEN GARDEN, to bridge over the historical, geological and cultural diversity between Shenzhen and Hong Kong residents.
