The "[PLUG-IN] PARK DESIGN STRATEGY" proposal aims to revitalize Mei Lam Estate's common areas by implementing small-scale, modular "plug-in" interventions that enhance existing facilities and foster resident well-being. Leveraging the estate's award-winning geometric design, the plan incorporates several key features: a mural wall at the South entrance; a revitalized water feature sculpture as a climbing park; modular seating in the Main Plaza; enhanced Tai Wai Nullah edges with improved access and seating; a resurfaced roller park; adaptable container boxes for various uses; and upgraded sports and leisure facilities. The project emphasizes sustainable materials, such as recycled plastic and reclaimed containers, and prioritizes quick-win, easily reversible interventions to minimize disruption. The design incorporates elements from the "Well-Being Design Guide," focusing on green living, health, community connection, and accessibility.
